The goal of the game is to remove all of the "mines" or bombs from a rectangular board without detonating any of them. To do this, you'll need hints regarding how many mines are around in each field. The player forfeits the game if a square holding a mine is revealed.
The square becomes blank and all neighboring squares are recursively revealed if no mines are shown. If no mines are revealed, a numeral is displayed in the square instead, indicating how many nearby squares contain mines. The player can either reveal each tile or designate it as containing a mine using this information to determine what is in other squares. Keep in mind that any ship can serve as a minesweeper once.
